Air Canada returns to freighter services with Cargojet
With a commercial agreement signed in April with Cargojet Airways to operate the first direct scheduled freighter service between Canada and Latin America, using one of the latter?s Boeing 767-300ER freighters, Air Canada is eyeing more freighter operations. Air Canada is adding a second weekly freighter to its Canada, US and South America schedule. The new rotation operates on Sundays between Toronto, Atlanta, Bogota, Lima and Toronto, in addition to the existing Friday service using B767-300F aircraft provided by Cargojet. On signing the Cargojet deal, Air Canada Cargo also said it planned to introduce a dedicated freighter service to Europe from Toronto in the second half of 2016.
