Scoot dedicates its 12th Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to India

Scoot, Singapore based low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has decided dedicate its 12th Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to India by naming it 'Kamascootra'. The aircraft, which will be first used from October 2 this year to launch the flight between Jaipur and Singapore, will be delivered to the airline next week and is from among the 20 Boeing 787-800 that the airline has ordered. The aircraft was supposed to be delivered for the first flight to India in May this year but as the manufacturer needed a lead time of up to six months to paint the aircraft, it was painted in May and is being delivered now. Scoot launched its India operation on May 24 with a daily service to Chennai from Singapore. Jaipur will be third city after Chennai and Amritsar to which Scoot will be expanding its foot print in India. Courtesy: The Economic Times
